Gay people deserve to be treated equally. Russia's anti-gay policy is simply appalling.

appalling? it's fucking ridiculous and stupid, i didnt even know that existed i used to mock gay people. but then i grew up. and i agree with maka, if you've got something against gay people is cuz u dont know them. i have a gay friend and he's a great person.

in fact, if someone posts the word nigger or something racist they'll be muted and the post erased, but this kind of stuff is allowed?

Does that make every protester in the million mask march on November the 5th an "insecure" person? I hope not. I myself have no opinion on people with alternative sexualities. But who is to say what is wrong and what is right? People have opinions... that's the be all and end all.. people believe in whatever they want to believe in. You might worship God as a Christian, the next man might be Agnostic.

Is the Christian right to say the Agnostic man is wrong? Or vice versa?

EDIT: On a side note, this is why Governments have too much power vested in them. Russia believes being gay is wrong because Putin said so. Brainwashing at it's best.

i have no idea whats the million mask march, but i think that maka was saying that the guys who did this wore masks cuz they were afraid of what could happen to them after the video was public. and people can have opinions, some may like gay people and some may not, but bullying them because of it is ridiculous and cowardly, and its even more when you're 10 vs 1.

Bullying in general is cowardly whether it's 10 vs 1 or not. I think the real issue here is humans.

Russia needs more people like Ivan Khutorskoy, but also targeting violent homophobes.
Alls I'm sayin.

Actually, one other comment.

Here's what I think. I wish I were gay. Men are so much fucking easier to get along with on a deeper level than women, in general.
Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of female friend that are great, lovely people- but to know a woman particularly well (ie, in a relationship) tests your patience far more than being close to a guy.

I get your point, but this seems like a totally different situation to me compared to Fawkes Night. People will always have opinions, but does that mean you must make somebody else's life absolutely miserable? I doubt it.

Valid point as well at the end of your post.
