[Serious Discussion] Religion

What I also just can't put myself over is the dumb fact that Americans (well, at least what is seen in politics) always ramble on about religion too.
Just take a look at all of those speeches by presidential candidates. At least once they'll drop the whole God thing. I mean, that's not really helping now, is it?
When I look at politics over here in Europe, nothing like that is seen. I just don't quite understand it.

That's because in American (even though there's supposed to be a separation of church and state) the candidates biggest voters are religious freaks. A lot of people were pissed off when Obama got elected because they thought he was Muslim (which obviously shouldn't matter). But chances are if you're a Christian candidate and you go on and on about God in your speeches, etc you're gonna get a higher vote then someone who doesn't talk about God at all which honestly is a fucking stupid. But that's also one of the main reasons why I chose to move to Europe, less religious people and it's shoved down your throats the way it is in America.

We don't need churches to be spiritual with our metal!
The bars are our churches, as the metal is our holy spirit.

Did you get to see SepticFlesh?

Unfortunately I didn't. I was planning on going with two other people, but one fell off. Due to financial reasons for me (and in my cousin's case, medical reasons- he had surgery a while ago and wasn't sure at first if he would be able to attend), we decided to only go for the final day. That being said, I didn't go yesterday and won't be going today either. I guess the bands I did want to check out will have to be for another time. Anyway, as for yesterday, the only band I was really interested in is SepticFlesh though. I've already seen Rhapsody at Wacken, and I'm not too familiar with the rest of the line-up. It's a shame that I'll also have to miss Evergrey and Pathfinder, but I'm already giving out too much money as it is. The highlight for me is Sunday though: Lonewolf, Manigance, Power Quest, Stormwarrior, Mystic Prophecy, Powerwolf, Freak Kitchen, Epica, and last but not least, Blind Guardian.
