The whole ´fight guns with guns´ theory is just lame.
Guns should be banned.

Also the idea that if a bank gets robbed, and one of the customers carries a gun, the robbery can be prevented, makes no sense.
  - the cash in a bank's safe in insured by the government, so if they drain the banks safe, the US government will just restore it
  - you will just bring other people in danger, the robbers are just there to steal some cash, not to kill everyone, if you start shooting, you will get killed most likely, and others could get shot in the gunfight.

If everyone carried guns for 'protection' people will grap there gun to solve a fight, instead of 'just' fight with there bare hands (or don't fight at all).

Why is the deathcount by guns be 100x higher then in canada/rest of the world, right, because you can buy a gun on every street corner.

Im totally against guns.

Whoever mentioned about UK Police not being able to carry guns, I think its stupid. They should all be allowed to carry guns, at the moment only 'Armed Police' are allowed.
Btw, Mike did have a point about if guns are hard to find, then people will use knives (which alot of people do in my country) the problem is, fighting has been going on forever, its never going to stop. But what has changed is the level of violence.
For instance, some 2 French Exchange Students were stabbed about 107 times (jesus, they'd be dead after about 5. It would probaly give you a dead arm just lunging that much) and then set on fire.

I'm glad that in many countries in Europe handguns are illegal, it makes me feel so much safer living in Europe. It would be much easier to defend your girlfriend and yourself from a wanna be rapist/thief carrying a knife than one carrying a gun. I'm glad also that the police don't have guns in the UK, for pretty much the same reasons. And that's all I have to say about that.
