But people change their theme to Vista just to show-off to others how "cool" they are?

well i changed the theme cause i like the vista optic. i just said it, cause so you know its xp and not vista ^^ i use the theme since many years and not for showing here

By the way, as I heard or read somewhere, the original theme is best for gaming - like Win7's theme on Win7, Vista theme on Vista and so on. Vista theme for XP accuses a little of lag when gaming.

well try it out. every visual style costs main memory. but not that much... so if you got more than 1gb main memory, you don't feel any difference.
anyway... you can close any theme by shut down the windows service "designs"... then u get the win 98 look in xp
