Its quite obvious that eva being the prick she is keep him thinking the whole time that she also felt the same, so he was tricked into thinking some dick loved him also. This is by far a more pathetic thing to do to someone of his age with the complete intent to take the piss out of him and laugh at it behind his back with other sad individuals who i expected alot more from.
All the above is alot more pathetic than a young boy thinking someone liked him while they completely went along with it until lately.
