Nobody knows, not even you.
As I have said plenty of times already, people who believe in God don't always believe in him because of what is written in a book. They don't have to believe in the book, or at least all of the book. A holy book is meant to be the word of God written by humans. Nobody knows if God is just a human thing. Beings on other planets could have Gods, or their versions of a God and have their own Bibles.
Where does it say God only created the Earth? The Bible is written by humans, which is meant to be the word of God. It's like a biography, not written by the being in question but by someone else. Maybe God just didn't tell them that he has other projects? Maybe he didn't tell them that there are planets that has life on them.
And as already said, even if it has somewhere that God only created the Earth, that does not mean everyone who believes in God believes he only created theĀ Earth. Not all believers of God believe in the Bible, or any religious books for that matter. Many of them just believe in the mere existence of God and have their own reasons.
Quote:is God more like an experience?
People have their own reasons to believe in God, they have their own beliefs in God, or Gods. Some believe in a God due to some experience, maybe they survived cancer and believed God was looking over them. There's nothing wrong or stupid in believing that.
You may then ask why God let them have cancer in the first place, which is something even religious people can't answer. For those who believe everything happens for a reason they just say it could be a reason that we cannot understand, and tell you not every reason has to be beneficial.
