Even if they wrote it as a joke, I'm pretty sure they're being pretty serious deep inside.

It's a good idea actually. Make a cartoon where you make jokes about the holocaust and threats to slaughter and behead all the atheists and what not, and then pretend that everything was a joke! Just to piss you off. Classic idea. You would love to see it, wouldn't you? But that's something below our niveau, sorry buddies!
