Lucid Dreaming

yes but if you're just laying in bed with your eyes closed you can do the same thing, you can think about whatever you want and you can control the outcome of everything.

I guess the main difference is in a lucid dream you're asleep, while lying in bed, awake, imagining things, you're awake.

thinking about something is not even close to how real a lucid dream experience is.

Let me just share something with you that I just remembered, it isn't exactly related to lucid dreams, but with dreams in general:

I don't believe it, but when I was younger a philosophy teacher told me that usually when we have a dream where we're falling off from somewhere, from a high place, we usually wake up immediately before of reaching the ground, the floor or w/e. Well, this part, at least for me, makes sense. The "crazy" part comes next. She told me that when people effectively reach the ground, they die.

Lol, I don't know how truthful this can be, but I always thought that philosophy teachers aren't really normal people.

Anyway have anyone of you dreamt that you were falling off from somewhere and then you woke up only after have reached the ground?

I'm pretty sure I've landed on the ground plenty of times, and to my knowledge I'm still alive.

I think that's just superstition, I doubt that's true, I've heard that several times in my life, mostly from superstitious people.

Due to me having a phobia for trucks I dream a lot that I get hit by one, and right before I get hit I kinda "fall" in my bed and wake up completely wet due to the sweat. Same thing happens with falling as well from time to time.

I have that dream falling of something high a lot and I wake right before I reach the gound and I like jump in the bed when I wake up...

I have another dream like that similiar than I do something wrong kill somebody or rob a market or anything bad and in the dream I say:"This is not a dream,I'm sure about this...",in the dream I'm very sure it's not a dream but after I say that I wake up again jumping,strange...
