Ideas for the ladder placement;
1. Use a randomizer.
2. Or simply place the better ones (as we know) on the bottom, and the "less" skilled ones higher up.
So that the good fighters will have to work their way up, thus giving the "less" skilled ones a chance to defend their spot.
