New bomb... ?

Don't get me wrong, the current bomb system is fine, but since I made a joke about a nuclear bomb in the public thread it got me thinking.


What about a bomb that has a much bigger blast radius, but instead of it being a simple explosion where people are killed outright in the close range it just makes people go on fire over a bigger area.  Same kind of fire as if you where hit with a flamethrower, would just take 50% of your health away but the blast radius would be far bigger and more people impacted.

Of course it wouldn't be cheap, and I don't even know if it would be possible to do, just throwing the idea out there

I like this, but it should be something that you can't buy; You have to earn it somehow, or have an admin give it to you or something. If you could buy it, even if it'd be expensive as fuck, people'd be on fire constantly

How about even more speed-bonuses than the other bombs? Like a total of 100 that's needed to purchase this particular bomb-type.

Yes it should be expensive.. would be nice if when the bomb was detionated there is a FLASH!.. and then 5 seconds later it go's off. Will give people time to run and cover.

When a player is on fire, it starts to drain their armor first, then health... very few people are going to be killed by this, but imagine the scene, you're at the sexshop, theres a group of people fighting there... a small group fighting further north on the strip too and a few cars driving along minding their own business...... FLASH! they all run and then go on fire before PUFF!  Burn fuckers BUUUURN

Oh how I would piss myself everytime.

This should be doable since the camera when fired makes a players screen flash once they are in drawdistace.

The price of the bomb?  Not cheap.. Maybe 50 million or so, not that it does much damage but the range would be the full viewdistance of the player so you want many going off every night.

For this version, I believe you should be concentrating solely on what the majority of people find fun. Adding a carbomb which will, essentially, kill a vast number of people, most of which may be new players seeking fun and a reason to come back to the server. Instead, you should offer players, especially the new players coming to our server a good incentive to register themselves, come back, and become regular players.

Again, going back to my previous rant - where I agreed with bubbles, Jay and Peter about how complex the gamemode is - you should be focusing on making the current features better, and then add new features based on the same principle.

Not too hard to avoid taking damage from a fire like Darius said, and the flash before hand would give people warning... this is a bomb of range and style.. and when it comes to bombing, take it from any CUNT member, style is the majority of the fun

And if you and other people don't find bombs fun, thats cool, your opinion. I find them damn fun, as do alot of people... and just because this bomb has a larger range its far less damaging so I think people would be less inclinded to moan about been 0wned with this compared to other bombs already in place.


Yet to hear from the devs if it is possible, and if it is we're yet to hear from their perspective on if its worth the time and effort to create. Right now, since this is just an idea I like personally its in their hands.


The biggest drawback to this bomb is the ship. Because it would effect everyone within draw distance it would have a big exclusion zone around the ship, to prevent people on the ship falling victim and dying in the safezone... but that would cover a range of approx 1/4 or 1/5th of the strip which is more than acceptable
