I'm in that mood guys! Can you recommend me a (or some) good, speedy power metal bands? I'm talking of stuff in the vein of early Helloween and Blind Guardian. I also can't get over the fact of how awesome the dual-vocal part is in 'Lost in the Twilight Hall' by Blind Guardian. It just remains so epic.
I know Maddolis aint a big "thrash" metal fan but have you guys heard of the Australian <--- \m/ Thrash Metal band Mortal Sin? They have been around for years now I own an album myself Mortal Sin - An Absence of Faith I enjoyed it myself because I love thrash metal

Heard of them but haven't heard any of their stuff.
That's a pretty neat track, but as I've said earlier I just can't really connect to thrash on nearly the same level as I can most other metal subgenres.
That being said my favourite thrash artists are more tech/proggy ones like Coroner and Voivod (we're gonna assume that Atheist are prog death though the vocals are pretty thrashy like a lot of oldskool DM). Absu are also pretty sweet (though I care more for their black side), I'll be seeing them in January.
Speaking of Aussie thrash, have you heard any In Malice's Wake, Eye of the Enemy or Desecrator?
If not you should check em out. Desecrator - Til Death
In fact in a later post I'll probably find a bunch of Aussie bands that I enjoy and put up a bunch of links, though a lot of the stuff I love isn't necessarily on youtube.
Nice that will be great man I will have a listern after work I don't think my boss wants to hear blaring metal hehe, Yeah I only use youtube to post stuff for you guys or to listern to songs I can't find in stores, I need to find a better music store
I really only buy Aussie albums and albums of other artists I absolutely adore, I can't afford to buy tons of international albums (or I can, but I have things I'd rather spend the money on).
I've got 14 Australian releases in hard copy (should have more, I'll be getting a couple more this month anyway) and 32 international releases. I have a feeling you have a fair few more than I
