Grand Theft Auto 5's soundtrack contains 240 songs, 15 radio stations and two talk stations, it has been revealed.
Rockstar soundtrack supervisor Ivan Pavlovich said that the upcoming game contains 20 movies' worth of musical score, making it the largest soundtrack the company has ever produced.
"For this game, which is set in our version of modern day Los Angeles, what was important for us was to capture that feeling of LA and California," Pavlovich explained.
"We approached the radio stations as the musical soundscape [you experience] as you fly into LA.
One of the things we've never done in a GTA game before is a pop station; exploring that made so much sense in the context of LA."
Radio hosts include DJ Pooh, Pam Grier, Bootsy Collins, Kenny Loggins and members of Californian rock band Wavves. Samples can be found on the Rolling Stone website.
The score, meanwhile, is said to be completely dynamic, and was created by Edgar Froese and Woody Jackson, the latter of whom scored Red Dead Redemption.
"The score plays during missions and the open world gameplay, and during online play," Pavlovich continued.
It's completely dynamic, and engineered very similar to what we've done in the past with our interactive stem system - it responds to what you're doing with your character," he added.
Sony was recently forced to apologise to Rockstar and Grand Theft Auto fans after hackers broke into the EU PlayStation Store and disclosed leaks regarding the upcoming game.
