I don't believe in any religion, i'm not an atheist either, i just find the stories of religion so unbelievable and unrealistic, hearing stuff about angels telling prophets and people rising from the dead. I just cannot believe that, i think there being an easter bunny or santa being just as plausible.

I don't believe it is fair for a child to be born into a religion, i think they should be able to make their own judgement and i am sure this is why many people believe in such religions because they are forced to believe it. If they were allowed to open their minds, i think they would realize some truths.

Just my opinion, i don't mean to offend and i am sorry if i did offend anybody.

I also believe religion was created to scare and control people back in the medievil ages.

Well then you are 100% atheist...
The issue is that the term 'atheist' has such a social stigma attached to it that so many people won't label themselves.
If you are religious, you can be labelled as 'theist.'
If you believe that a supernatural supreme being created the Universe, but does not intervene with human life (ie, believe in Evolution, perhaps too the Big Bang, but believe a deity created the Big Bang), then you can be labelled as 'deist.'
If you do not believe that there is any supernatural supreme being or deity, then you are an atheist.
...if you are open to the idea of there being a god or gods that created the Universe, yet do not believe in it until there is evidence, you are still an atheist. It's just that a lot of people prefer the weasel-word 'agnostic,' either because they do not wish to attract the many, often negative implications that the term 'atheist' carries, or they simply misunderstand the term.

Also, you shouldn't feel sorry for voicing such an inoffensive, humble and completely justified opinion as the one you just did.

If you describe yourself as "Atheist," some people will say, "Don't you mean 'Agnostic'?" I have to reply that I really do mean Atheist. I really do not believe that there is a god — in fact I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one. It's easier to say that I am a radical Atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it's an opinion I hold seriously. It's funny how many people are genuinely surprised to hear a view expressed so strongly. In England we seem to have drifted from vague, wishy-washy Anglicanism to vague, wishy-washy Agnosticism — both of which I think betoken a desire not to have to think about things too much.
People will then often say, "But surely it's better to remain an Agnostic just in case?" This, to me, suggests such a level of silliness and muddle that I usually edge out of the conversation rather than get sucked into it. (If it turns out that I've been wrong all along, and there is in fact a god, and if it further turned out that this kind of legalistic, cross-your-fingers-behind-your-back, Clintonian hair-splitting impressed him, then I would choose not to worship him anyway.)

I see stories like this and I continue to wonder why religion is given special treatment when it comes to rules. Like on this site you're meant to be respectful to religions. Why? What makes them worthy of such respect? Why is it okay for someone to mock me for supporting Liverpool FC (football), or mock Liverpool FC in general, but it's not okay to mock someone for being Muslim or Christian (or their religion)? Both are made up organisations that we choose to follow, though usually influenced by parents. What makes religion and religious people more special than sports and sport fans?

I've never understood that.
