That is an extraordinarily weak point.

If administrators treated everybody that equally, then we'd all be administrators, we'd all be moderators or we'd all be banned.

It's still an incredibly tight and lazy command, punishing a whole gang of members when only a few are to "blame." The administrators barely have to do any "administrating" anymore, soon enough there'll be 3 commands to control the whole server.

Punishing the rest of the group for on person's actions is the idea of a team. It keeps people in line more efficiently.

On what experience can you base that opinion on?

This thread, and other admin's opinions.

If we wanna punish "the group," I can take, say, Nakebod's reply in DMX's ban appeal*, have him muted for flame, and mute you and every other admin on the forums.
Just imagine that actually happened, for a minute, and you got a 7-day forum mute. Would it be nice? Not really.

*I thought the reply was silly at first, but I don't really mind it now. This is just an example.

I suppose you can put this idea into action, have the gang members hate it and leave LVP, which leaves the server with 30 players over the 24 hour timeperiod (5 average?), 20 of them being crew.
It's certainly not my decision, but somebody's gotta make sense in this community.

Edit: I am in full support of this action.

great idea..

i like it, and yea... about the subforum thing, if there was a way to sync it that would be way cool. But all in all this idea seems great and would eliminate alot of flamers.

How about Gang/Clan registration. Like when you register on the website to create your login settings.
Then to get this to work succesfull... Make people to register their gang, The leader of the gang (the one who created the gang on the website) can decide who is in the gang and who isn't. He needs to invite the players who want to be in the clan gang ingame. When the leader creates the gang he fills in a tag. When players accept the gang their name automaticly gets changed with the tag in front of it and their IP will be stored somewhere. So per gang you will have the memberslist, ip-list available, so when one player flames, you can mute/kick/ban the intire gang because the server knows all ip's of the gang. Then perhaps when the leader is sick and tired of the responsible player he can decide to remove the player out of his gang by loging in on the website, and appeal on the Banzone if the intire gang is banned.

Alot of other aspects need to be concidered on this idea, I myself am not so good with computers/ programming etc. so I don't know if this is possible. Maybe it is something to work on.

lol bad idea sounds like 1939 all over again.
This is discrimination in its purest form.
And i tought that wasnt allowed in lvp.
To punish a whole group for the actions of 1 person.
