Skateboarding is not even close to "gay" in fact it's probably one of the most unique sports. Skateboarding is the direct offspring of surfing which is ultimately the source of all board sports. Though board sports may not hold the prestige of "Football" or "Boxing" they still have a vast following. Skateboarding has created an entire sub culture of it's own, a thriving industry that employs thousands of people while enriching their lives. Very much adding to the economy in a positive and artistic way. The beauty of the sport I suppose is the freestyle aspect, there are no set rules or regulations. There is no team or direction just you and your board. Instinct and feeling make the rest possible and create a very unique display of human agility, hand eye coordination and over all motor skills. To see that the human body is capable of such amazing physical actions is reason enough to at least give it some credit. A lot of you may not be old enough (no offense) to realize what skateboarding used to be considered. At one time Being a skateboarder was pretty much considered to be the same thing as a gang member or criminal. Only in the past decade has it become so accepted and mainstream and as you would say *cough*gay*cough*.

Things have a way of being distorted try giving everything a chance and researching it to the fullest. Then you will probably come to realize that everything serves its own purpose and has earned its right to be recognized. Just saying "oh thats gay" is pretty narrow minded unless you're talking about Tennis haha just kidding..anyway I don't wanna hear any of this "skating is gay stuff" up in this thread anymore. For the record yes I skateboard, for 17 years and I'm pretty sure I can kick your ass.
