Hi everyone in here
Considering the recent expansion of the Developer team, I'd like to ask everyone to introduce theirselfes a bit in this topic. This information is and will remain private, so don't be resistant to post anything.
My name is Peter Beverloo, 18 years old and over 10 years of experience in programming already. Together with Badeend, I'll be the lead developer for Las Venturas Playground 3, responsible for the larger part of the code and normal gameplay. Right now, I have experience in quite some languages; C(++), C#, Visual Basic(.Net), Perl, LUA, Assemby, ASP, Java(script), as well as web-based languages as XML, (x)HTML and CSS, and I'm certified in PHP and SQL programming. In my spare time I like to do research on programs and games using IDA, ArtMoney and OllyDbg. Next to this I'm quite capable of designing (graphics), and have experience running larger programming projects. More information can be found here

Hello and good evening
I am Badeend, but my friends call me Rutger . I'm 24 years old and together with Peter I will be leading the development of LVP. I'm currently busy finishing my study called Communication and Multimedia Design, after which I will be a Media Engineer. I have been doing a lot of web development in the past 8 years and because of that I'm now experienced in PHP, SQL, Javascript, CSS, (x)HTML, Actionscript (Flash), XML and Lingo (Director). I'm using software as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for some designing stuff and Audition and Cubase for some sound designing stuff. Thanks to LVP I also have experience in Pawn and busy learning Lua. These things are pretty much my hobby as well, next to football, so I try to do these things in my spare time as much as possible

Oh, hey.
My name's tomozj, I'm actually 14 and starting to script now to prepare for a career and such. SA-MP is actually where I started properly to script, starting with Pawn and via botozj moving on to some PHP. I'm learning Lua now, and hoping to be ready in time to help develop LVP3. I'm also going to go on to learn some Java, aswell as Javascript (I have a little experience with it in the past), and hope to learn C++ in a few years time. In my spare time I usually meet with friends, get wasted or such. I'm making the most of my teenage life!

Well, hi,
I'm Fireburn, real name is Joppe. I'm 15 years old, live in the Netherlands, and I'm doing school at the moment. The first time I scripted was about some PHP online webgame, which was just some experimenting, after that, I started doing SA-MP, almost immideatly when it came out. I started with my own server, later became LVP admin, became a developer, and I'm now in the management as Badeend's slave, managing some of the devving. I'm currently, like the most of you, learning LUA, however the next week I'm short on time, it's my school testweek. In my spare time I go to friends, play some games, and I do developing.
That's about it.

Hello everyone.
I'm dab, my real name is David. I am currently 17 years old. I started coding quite a while back. I start with (I hate to say it) GameMaker... I know it doesn't have much of scripting involve. That's what started it. After that, I moved on to a game programming language called DarkBasic. With which I used that language for quite some time. Eventually I found out there was a way to make windows Apps without the bloated DirectX runtime. So I started playing with Visual Basic (v6), and moved up as the versions came out (.net 3 now). Then I wanted to make websites, and started my way up from HTML to Javascript, to CSS, to PHP. So I worked with PHP, and Basic for a while until I discovered SAMP. When I found SAMP I wanted to make my own server. So I learned Pawno. Well, when I found out that Peter had a growing interest in MTA (aka, all admins sign up at the mta site before your name is taken) I decied to take a look at LUA.
And that is my life story of coding. :\

Hey everyone.
I'm Cave, my real name is Daniel. I'm 14 and I live in the UK, I have just started learning LUA, and I would like to learn alot more on it. I started playing around with scripting in Pawno, attempting to make my own server, echo and stuf like that, then it was CaveBot, mIRC Scripting isn't much but it's still scripting, and I am curently learning PHP as well. What got me really interested was LUA, It looks, confusing when you first look at it, but that's what I like about it, I see it as a challenge to learn it. I also had a look at some other scripting here and there, and still like to learn things when I can. I'll be learning LUA most of the time, and hopefully be ready for LVP3, When it's needed, but until then, it's eyes to the screen for LUA.
I suppose that's it for (right) now.

Well, my name is Jimi. I am 23 years old living on the east coast of the United States.
When I was 14 I decided to make a website about my favorite car, the Dodge Viper. I quickly learned HTML. I stuck to that for a while, and when I was 17 I decided to go to college for Graphic Art and Web Design, where I learned mostly about HTML and Graphic Art's (Dreamweaver, Flash, photoshop, illustrator, etc.). Learning tidbit's of actionscript, java, more HTML, XML, and CSS. I plan on going to school for Game Development in the future, so learning LUA will help me I'm sure.
Other than that, I love to learn. If I don't understand something I'll be the first to kick down the door and figure it out.
See you on LVP

Hi! I'm Pugwipe, 19 years old, and I like to think I'm a decent coder. My first pieces of code were written in mIRC script, about 4 years ago. A while later I moved on to PHP, which has been my language of choice ever since. In the meantime I read a few books on various other languages (C++, Perl) and after becoming an LVP admin, I picked up quite a bit of PAWN without ever really learning it.
As for now, I've already learnt a fair amount of Lua and its MTA implementation and I'm really eager to help with LVP's development. I've got loads of spare time so that won't be the problem, but I can be a bit lazy at times.

Hi! I'm Wesley, I'm 15 years old, I live in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I'm still in school, VWO4 now, 2 years to go after this one. I've got programming experience mostly in web-languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. I also used to do this as a job during the holidays. I also know PAWN, and off course, I'm currently learning LUA.
I'm very happy that I can help with the development of LVP3.
That was it.

Warning: the following post is a short novel
I'm pdescobar; it is an easily typed version of P. D. Escobar which is a completely fictitious online name chosen because of a joke between a coworker and myself several years ago. My actual name is Dave Schmitt. The last name isn't exactly a secret since it's on copyright notices of anything I bother releasing, but I still generally only share it in trusted situations .
Anyhow, I started programming in Atari BASIC before some of you were born. I learned C about 10 years ago from a really neat textbook and have since picked up some C++, x86 assembly, and Java from various university courses. I also taught myself perl when I was exposed to unix-based systems at school and use it all over. I have some PHP and SQL experience from a summer job (and occasional personal experiments) as well. I never did much pawn scripting but since the DP releases of MTA I have been fooling around with Lua quite a bit and like it alot.
Regarding game development and modding, I first got into it when hacking Civilization II save files. I also did a lot of experimenting with mods in Diablo II to learn more about the game mechanics to help with character development since a couple friends and I refused to follow the "cookie-cutter" character modes 99% of the online players used and would rather come up with our own crazy combinations and see how far we could take them. I also worked alot with Civilization III modding in a variety of ways including writing some never-released perl tools for automated documentation and combat calculations. My work with Civ III landed me a summer job at a local QA company and I got to be a game tester for the Civ3: Conquests expansion pack as well as some less-memorable titles.
Since the release of GTASA, a huge chunk of my free time has been spent modding that. I found the program Radio Free San Andreas (RFSA) which extracted all the ogg files from the audio streams on the PC version, and after the developer didn't want to implement some of my suggestions for making the metadeta file more windows-friendly, I took it upon myself to modify RFSA to implement my changes... and then to do stream importing as well as extraction... and then I did some research and investigation into the SFX archive formats and made the tool handle importing and exporting of all the SFX files as well. The result of those efforts is my only serious public release: SAAT (San Andreas Audio Toolkit.) I also do some script modding and tool-writing mostly for use in the GTAF Chain Game or investigations into single-player game mechanics and I have spent quite a lot of time trying to improve our understanding of the SA save file format (with results posted on the gtamodding wiki.)
Better late then never, eh fellas?
