Overdosed's Non-Offical Guide to better Lead Aiming

I spot 2 main problems.

1: most players are moving around unpredictably. there's very little time to predict which direction they are heading.

2: even if you manage to hit them, you don't really know how far ahead of them you shot, because both they, and yourself, are moving so fast.

I dunno about others, but the main problem for me is the moving. I have no clue where they are going, so it's very hard to make an accurate prediction where they are going to be while I shoot. Throw in the fact that I'm running as well, makes it all the more difficult.

[edit]
Might I add, that if you're really desynced, their client won't even recognize you shooting at all. In which case none of your shots will hit no matter how accurate your predictions. This throws off the aiming really bad because you're shooting all over the place and you can't tell if you're just aiming really badly or if their client doesn't see you shooting.

K, well say what you wish. You are a noob and I can tell by this is yer first post. Therefore, you know nothing.

Point proven...

P.S.
I use this technique alot, it actually does work. Try it for your self.

Thats the trick to it...
I'm not gonna go into further detail, I don't publicly give out solid fighting tips, but *obviously* the aim is to move around unpredictably.
Think a little about that last sentence and you'll discover a thing or two, and if you're a newb, it will work.

@Overdosed's initial picture:
Actually there are a couple of pointers on how to improve that picture.
Are you American? If you are, then the picture would be rather accurate, but if you're a 50-60 pinger, then the 300 ping hitbox is *generally* closer to "2" on the diagram.

If I (~370) am fighting an American who is *sprinting* that *close* to me, then I'd aim for maybe 2.5-3 on that diagram, assuming they'd run straight left (right on their screen).

Yes, you need to lead aim a lot for EVERYONE.
Example:
A 400 pinger and a 50 pinger are fighting. Neither of them have warp/game/fps lag, and none of them have packetloss, and they both have a constant hitbox (ie good internet connections).
The 400 pinger aims to hit the 50 pinger at the exact same spot where the 50 pinger aims for the 400 pinger.

Unfortunately for you, your high ping means you must lead aim more, for every single fighter.
On the plus side, your aim will improve well, and if you go on a server with a low ping, you'll be a solid fighter.

I think I already established that I was a newb. I never attempted hiding that.

I am saying your little tutorial here doesn't really help newbs very much. As a newb, I would know. I may be generally new to SA-MP but I'm not new to instructions. I know how to read and I can understand your tutorial, but you make it seem a lot easier than it is for us newbs.

Another thing, the guy you were shooting at in your pic wasn't even after you, they were after someone else. When you are up against someone who is after you, they avoid you a lot better, making it much harder to predict where they are going and correctly lead aim, while running around to dodge them all at the same time.

PS: will movies actually be added? I think it would help much better.

[edit]
I was just trying this out in a 1 on 1 desert eagle gunfight with a guy, and he had full health + full armor, I only had full health. I got him down to only half health, when one of them "oh so precious" BA guys interrupted and decided to take us both out  }:|
What is with the BA guys? You are already great shooters, why do you always have to gang up on people or interrupt a 1 on 1

if you want to one v one, there exists such commands as /world, and you could even drive to the fc (fight club).

I shouldn't have to go to some special place every time want to do a one v one. Sometimes it's just something that suddenly comes up randomly. But most of the time when I'm in a one v one, a BA guy usually decides to interrupt when I'm on low health to get an easy kill.

but but but.. there is nothing wrong with them. And at least there isn't nothing wrong with them here, All of [BA] pwns. And, they are great shooters. They do it to get more kills, I do it, you probably do it, and so does BA of course..

If you want a fair fight go to FC. Cuz if your battling in the streets of the Strip there's no rule of like 'oh no interruptions we are battling betch!'

kkkthnxsbai

and  nice tutor for the people who are new and actually want to try to be good.

Hmm... ever heard of teh internet tab in SA:MP? If you want to have a peaceful 1v1, then I'm afraid LVP isnt really the right server. Try looking for 1v1 servers?
