Both operating systems have their positives and negatives, even Vista. For example, Vista's pretty good with just about anything you do, but gaming is its absolute failing point.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
GPU: EVGA 8800gts 640mb
RAM: 2 gigs of 800mhz
HD: 350gig sata
PSU: 500wats Ultra
Case:
TOTAL 1 YEAR AGO WAS: 1250$~ plus tax today it would be like 400$ or 500$ cheaper
Video card is overclocked and cpu will be once i get new fan for it . Runs crysis on Enthusiastic 25-32 fps oh and i have Windows XP media center SP3
