/Hidetime - Pay $1m a minute for your blip off radar!
#51
This idea sounds awesome to me. But I think we should also have a device that would allow ppl to detect players using /hideme. For example, make a property in Area 51 in radar room. Besides giving you a profit, it could be used to scan the San Andreas area in search of hidden players. It could work like this: you type /scan (and pay some money for it. Let's say, something from 200.000 $ to 1M $) and it returns you a full list of ppl that are "invisible" at the moment. Then you type /reveal [id] (or /track [id], or whatever) and it reveals that player for you. That means he becomes visible on the radar again (but only for you). It should cost a bit (like, 500.000 $ for 5 minutes of tracking). Some limitations are also mandatory, too (like being able to track only one person at a time).

...or it could just render all invisible players visible for a guy that owns this property, but it would be just too easy.

(Sorry for being confusing!)

Omg cool yer! And to prevent cheaters from using it, tjs previous idea, Only people with PlusPoints can use /hideme! (It takes 50 hours of playing ot get a p.p, by that time cheaters are caught)

i would also like to add to the ideas
i really beleive this is a good idea
and with all the worrys about detecting cheaters etc here is my suggesetion
-as grove said, only people with pluspoints could use it
-you have to ask an admin for it, somehow :?
i think this would completely wipe the chance of cheaters(or trouble makers) getting their hands on it

Yet, it would alienate new members, and make it harder for them to be a good player. They'd get bored and quit.

hmm also very true, well, maybe just make it that admins can give it out, and take it back if someone is abusing it along with a lenghty jail sentance

Meh. If something can be abused, then I doubt giving it out would be a good idea.

We can use Peter's special functions to let the admins see these "hidden" players on the map, but make their blips a little transparent so the admins know that they're on /hideme. That way, even if there are cheaters it won't be a problem as admins can see them.
