Just throwing this out there because it's something I'm thinking about.
Currently players can store up to 2 billion in their bank accounts, which is a ton of money. It's also the cause of LVP's economy being completely wasted, and I don't really feel like any new system should contribute to making it worse. As such, money stored in a gang bank needs to be stored in a different currency.
I'm currently thinking about the ability to buy tokens. Players in a gang can contribute 50 million dollars for a single Gang Token, which will be stored in the gang's settings. Players with a full bank account will then be able to buy 40 tokens at most, which isn't that much.
Then the question is what one can do with tokens. Clearly, because we want gangs to gain some momentum things need to be more expensive than usual. Some ideas:
As a way of decreasing the territories, less gang members being in-game can result in the area decreasing, loosing fights means the area decreases, and so on. I'm not entirely sure yet.
Does anyone else have ideas about how we can establish a gang economy, and what gangs should be able to buy with this?

- The ability to buy an area as the gang's base. Choose a center point and the amount of tokens members invest in the area decide how far their territory will spread. Territories will be visible on the map.
- In these territories, tokens can be invested to select a certain kind vehicle (and color) to "tone" the neighborhood.
