There are several known deathmatch and freeroam servers who have a steady 50-100 minimum player count. I believe if we stand out, we'll cater to the people who 'still' like freeroaming on SA-MP.

If you want to at least try to save the server you should open a new "branch" of the gamemode.

I'm talking about a fusion of the actual script and a "new" WW and/or RP script. Basically when you joined the server you'd have the option to either choose if you wanted freeroam, RP or WW.

Freeroam would be the actual gamemode, where the commands for the other two options would be disabled, obviously.

WW would be something like those WW A/D servers.

RP would be freeroam with... well, RP elements.

But it's a lot of work and by the time you'd be finished sa-mp would be dead. Unless you'd get authorization from the creators of existing scripts to merge theirs within yours.

LVP will never move away from being a free-roam server at its core, that's just in our DNA. I do feel that there is a need for a new integration with modes that's you've listed out, being RW & WW. Our current implementation of those modes is too simple and shallow, they are not integrated with the rest of the game mode and playing them doesn't really give you anything of value in return other then a good time and some kills.

Simply copying what other servers do wont give us a competitive advantage over the bulk of them. I ask you and everyone else that wants to be able to play proper WW and RW to -please- open a topic on this board describing; what features you want to see, how it would work, what benefit it would be to join, what can you win and anything else that we need to know in order to build something that you'd want to play.

I just gave my opinion on how you COULD save it. If you don't want to move on to new things you won't get past this point, unless you advertise on strategic points. Either way, if you chose the other path players would just start coming.

Allowing players to choose their own world to play in (roleplay, ww, "LVP-style") is not the right way to handle the issue; that'd fragment our community in little pieces, which is something we'd rather not do (also because we'd have to ensure crew coverage for three worlds and three different gamemodes).

Our server shouldn't cater to every San Andreas Multiplayer user, but rather the ones who like freeroaming and deathmatching, and enjoy some roleplay-like features (e.g. gaining money, buying properties, gambling etc). As oostcoast said: copying other servers won't give us any advantage over them, but rather would only make it more difficult for us to stand out among so many roleplay servers with great gamemodes.

Giving more weapons at spaw might actually help. Also make minigames free. No new guy is going to bother buying a prop in order to be able to defend himself or join a minigame.

yea lol one day when i was evading i couldnt even join minigame cause no money, that made me /q
