There's no law that states you must act adult 24/7 just because your country states you're now an adult. Many adults (my mother included) use children to let loose the child in them, as they won't look stupid to bystanders.

The only problem is you can't expect to go through adulthood and not have to work and have someone provide for you, unless you want to be a welfare sponge.

I never said that. Pretty much if you want to move out here before you're 18 you have to either A) have your parent's permission B) file as a dependent or C) run away

No matter what the government says, it doesn't change how old you are and how old you should act. Maturing is a normal part of life, embrace it because it is awesome. The joys of working, driving, drinking/partying, banging hot chicks, etc is 100% worth growing up for :)
