I started playing poker online on Facebook in the end of this last year, then I left it and 4 days ago I started playing it again.

How's it there? There are some good players on facebook, but there are also people who just makes 'All in' 'All in' 'All in' in every single hand.

Btw that's a nice win! :D

im pretty good at poker and also won a few local poker tourneys (one with a prize of 450 EUR for first place) but unfortunately i didnt have the time to play it as much as i'd like to in the last few weeks.

Imo its just the best card game ever, and its always fun to play it, be it drunk with friends or serious for money/things.

Only fun to play live with friends.
I played it for about 3 yeard (internet + live). In the end (unless you win some huge prize), you'll probably understand that it's pretty much a lottery after all.
And please, no arguments about poker not being a game of luck, I've heard them all, I've thought so myself. There are some geniuses who can make a great living with it, but the number of such people is very small. But playing with friends and having fun for not-so-big-amounts-of-money is totally cool.

Used to play it every few weeks with a bunch of friends a couple of years ago. Haven't played in ages though.. Might install PokerStars or something again.

I love texas holdem, but sadly poker is illegal in Italy. Luckily I live near to the border, so I go to tournaments in Slovenia atleast 3 times per month, I also play it with friends :)

And no, poker isn't all about luck. Knowing how to play is really important, you'll never win if you don't know how and when to raise and when to fold

Yeah, it's not all about luck. There are indeed strategies etc., but this is, as far as I know, one of the only sports where a total amateur can beat a professional player. Luck plays a major role.
There are some more similar sports I believe, but mostly, when e.g. I've been running marathon my whole life, a person with no athletic history can have nothing on me.
