So after quite a bit of searching and looking at your suggestions, I think I've decided:

Mouse:

logitech g500

Keyboard:

logitech g15

Anyone disagree or know of any hidden problems or something lol

Well, in sa-mp it doesnt matter at all cuz the sync is fucked up. But in games like BFBC2 where your trying to snipe long range or BF2 where you have to move the canon of the tank a full 180' very quickly, a mouse like the G500 can be very helpful. Changing DPI on-the-fly ftw :)

To some people like me, the competitive nature of some shooters is a ton of fun and any edge we can get in the game we will take :)

I don't understand how you can spend hours upon hours on LVP's forums and then not be a true gamer :P

Seriously don't go for logitech crap , ive had 2 logitechs ( mx1000 and revolution ) and they both died after less than 4months ( the laser died twice )
If you're up for gaming its razer all the way  :D

Standard keyboard & mouse seem to last longer then gaming ones. I've had a G11 and G9 and they both broke down in ~10 months of use. I've had a standard keyboard and mouse for 1.5 years now and still working great.
