I'm from the US and I love what Wikileaks is doing and think it's exactly what the doctor ordered. My government does not represent my interests or ideals. I realized this before, but it has been further proven to me by some of its actions that have been brought to light with the cable releases. I look forward to what happens in the next 10 years. Obama was touting change to me during his election campaign. Health care is nice and all, but lets get some of the real problems sorted out. I'm sorry that it took something like what Wikileaks is doing to get it started.

Well, actually wikileaks just said what we all know already, but it's much more interesting since it represents the actual thoughts of the american politicians. Here in Italy we got a dramatic situation in a political point of wiew, plus everyone was wondering why our relations with america were going downhill so badly. Thanks to wikileaks, we all know it's cause our "dear" president was dealing with russians and couldn't be trustable anymore. I hope this "shock" makes our actual government fall faster, cause it's a serious menace to democracy.

IF that group is around for the next 10 years. I highly doubt it though, I read the gov is already working on charging them for crimes (whatever they can come up with). Don't get me wrong though, I support wikileaks and hope they survive for as long as possible. Shit needs to be exposed because there are so many naive people in our country that believe the gov is just fine. Its that kind of ignorance that got Obama into office

It's actually not. The laws concerning rape are way stricter in Sweden (where the girls that accuse him come from) are way stricter than in any other country. To commit the crime of "rape" in Sweden there is no physical violence required. Even sex without a condom can be considered as rape under certain circumstances there.

Well in that case he really shouldn't be tarnished as a rapist then by the British media. The thing that gets me most about these leaks is that some imbecile records and stores all these negative things diplomats/politicians say about other countries behind closed doors. Why would you do that?

I hear a lot of people saying that what wikileaks is doing is bad an all, which I don't agree with. If governments could be just honest about things, nothing would happen.. US government has always rejected the storage of nuclear weapons, they lied, according to WikiLeaks. So I pretty much agree with you.

Well, since nobody knows who the owners are, they won't be found dead somewhere. Julian Assange is just the media guy.
Then again, I doubt hes going to get killed so soon, due to all the attention he gets in the worldwide TV and internet. Would be kinda obvious if the USA or another country decided to take him out now or in the next few weeks.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the United States is spending resources to make sure he doesn't get killed.
