This stuff is pretty useful! Mine dates back to June 26th 2007!

No need to ever go crazy because you forgot an url, just look back to how you found that webpage!

It doesn't matter if you disable that or not. Google keeps records of EVERYTHING you search for and they do not plan on deleting anything either. This is the only problem I see with google. The good things that we enjoy like "did you mean?" are what violates our privacy the most. Just remember, nothing is safe on the internet. People have gotten too comfortable on the net and therefor forgot to care about what is private and what is not.

Indeed, internet isn't safe. It has never been. The way Harry mentioned it, is the right way I think: people have become too comfortable and easy with it, so any company can obtain these kind of information very easy. You just have to think of the right way to use the internet.
