Own up, I know at least 10 of you play it. Here are some questions to those who do play it:
A. How often do you play FSX and for how long?
B. What's your FPS and game settings? (like scenery settings)
C. Do you have any add-on aircraft or scenery?
D. How would you rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 as a 'virtual pilot'? 1 = I just fuck around in the jet planes
10 = I use FMC and do everything by the book
E. Has FSX changed the way you look at flight and/or possible future careers?
I personally am addicted to FSX. I do flights up to 14 hours long, performing all the procedures of the real aircraft including VORs, FMC navigation right down to airways and pressurization systems.
But one of the things when it comes to FSX is that because the entire world was covered, some areas are rather..poor compared to their real counterparts. In-fact there's only 10 airports around the FSX world with custom made scenery
Anyway, because of this I recently started creating payware scenery add-ons for FSX. At the moment it's involving a heck load of 3D modelling in 3DSmax and a 23,000px by 80,000px image of the airport. And then about 20 more of those to cover the entire island. Now it may not seem like much, but the island I'm covering is just a bit smaller than the whole of California. I wondered if their were out of the few here that play FSX develop products for it?
