I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with my Video drivers.

Wish I could say the same with mine. Everytime I shut SA-MP it crashes and I have to open the task manager :X
And it appears I'm the only one in the whole SA-MP community that experiences is (despite it happening on two completely different computers... lol)

It's a known problem, doesn't matter if you bought or downloaded the game. XP for the win!

I just tried to install an old ATI Catalyst Driver, but it still doesn't work. ):

I copied my San Andreas installation(i.e I just copied the folder) from a XP machine to a windows 7 machine and I don't have any issues.

Have a ATI card too, with the catalyst 10.4 drivers installed. (10.5 is the latest version)  One thing to note is that San Andreas doesn't like windows 7 aero themes and automaticly changes it to a basic theme when I launch it - So I suggest you select a basic theme and then try to run it.

Theres no reason for San Andreas not to work well on windows7... and even tho I have San Andreas on DVD I use a cracked .exe that has gotten alot of people out of trouble beforehand -  have it uploaded at http://www.bolloxed.com/gta_sa.exe - so give that .exe a try also.

And when trying to change the resoultion for sa-mp, change it in the San Andreas single player options - seems to be more stabel changing settings in the singleplayer launch rather than the multiplayer launch.

I've also heard that renaming or/and moving the gta san andreas game folder will make it work.
