Build 14 Train Improvements

Well seeing some people have been complaining about us developers not keeping you guys updated about what's currently in development, let me explain what I'm going to be working on tonight and tomorrow.

Train improvements

Trains were introduced when we upgraded to SA:MP 0.3a. At present, they don't have many features. They just drive around and are hardly used. For LVP 2.91.14 the following improvements will be added:

* Ticket booth. Using a 0.3 dialog, each train station will have a ticket booth. Players must purchase a ticket to board a train.

* Property Flag. Most of you know what a property flag is by now. The train stations will have a new property flag, from which the owner will make a percentage on train tickets and be able to decide ticket prices.

* Information Textdraw. When a player is riding a train, a textdraw will show the next station, along with how long it will take to arrive to that station.

* Freight train. A new train will be added, the Freight, which players can jump on the back and get a free train ride.

* San Fierro Tram. The Tram may be added in San Fierro, although this one has not been discussed yet, so we'll have to wait and see.



Obviously this will need quite a bit of testing. You can post any feedback here. (Suggestions, bugs)


Other focuses this week are issues with the /settings command, along with a fix to the SaveInfo not supporting jail. Matthias has added a resetspawnweapons command for crew, fixed a problem in /nuke, /pm and fixed the ship co-ords.

Quick question.


Lets say you have 2 trains on the track... both going to the opposite way...

Do they just pass hrough each other?

If the trains where set that you can drive them...and increase the speed to shitfast... what happens when 2 trains with a driver in each collide?

Just thinking there may be a chance of a good game of 'chicken' there.

These improvements were never finished (in fact they weren't even started)

We'll do it for PP.

Lol, unfortunately they just go through eachother. :(
