All this disabling /ctp with bombs nonsence.

Its a big map, you need to get around, think its better just to have a 10 second delay before you can detionate after a /ctp.

Bascially whatever is done to the bomb system in regard to the majority of suggestions above, time limits, price increases, car restrictions etc isn't going to impact me as a dedicated professional bomber.

Money isn't an issue .

Time limits isn't an issue as alot of the time I'm driving around for minutes before detionation.

I very rarley /ctp and detionate, thats reserved for 'special' people on unique occasions.


So the bottom line is theres nothing here thats going to change my bombing habbits in any way, people are still going to get bombed alot, and they are still going to complain, or laugh.
So... at the moment all I can say is whats the point?
And since I'm by far the biggest bomber I think, casual bombers wouldn't even notice these restrictions.


The only thing i can think of myself that may work is that any car armed with a detionation bomb has its colour changed to bright neon red or green so people can see it coming, giving them a better chance of getting out of the area if they suspect they're going to be a victim - might create some imaginary balance victims seem to be crying for.


Of course, make me an offer and I might stop carbombing outright on the server....

I was thinking the same thing last night, put a five minute limitation on it just like /tp and /ctp (if they are still the same) I didn't read any part of this thread so pardon me if this was already said, but there is a part in the code that will halt if the car that is about to detonate is too close to the ship, so why not also make it so that you cannot set a car bomb off in fight club. If people want to fight, go to fight club, the problem of car bombs is then fixed when it comes to fights being interrupted.

Indeed. I don't like carbombs very much, but 10 mins is just too long.

Bubbles and Nanook have some really good ideas.
I really like the idea about the /ctp delay, the coloring of the vehicle and that you only can install car-bombs on certain vehicle types.

If you were able to add car-bombs to certain vehicles you can even it out by not allowing fast vehicles like Infernus, Turismo etc. And use some slower vehicles like LVPD and Rancher.

Re-coloring the vehicle might have some problem though since you can just drive to a tune-shop and respray it so if that would be made impossible in some way that would be great.

Think restricting the type of vehicle allowed to be armed is going too far, especially with how the LVP vehicle spawns work.

The fun is the hunt, can't do that in a tractor

I agree with bubbles about not restricting the type of car, the main problem is people /ctp'ing to someone and blowing them up. I don't even agree with /tp'ing to someone to kill them, unless they agree to it.

Allowing bombs only in certain vehicles will not have big impact. When I said that Bubbles follows me, this not means that I am driving, sometimes I am on foot and chatting, in this case even detonation of a slow Trashmaster truck is effective. Changing car color is again useless, players could rechange it in tune shops to any color. Also a trap car (engine bomb) should not look different than a regular car, or the fun is over!

You're intelligent... you give suggestions which allows you to continue bombing us! You want to /ctp, drive for 10 sec then detonate! When someone /ctp to a gang war, everyone should run away due of risk of being detonated?

I agree with this there is to much laming in LVP with bombs

Increase the time to: 7 Minutes
