'GTA 5' on Xbox 360 to come on two discs, requires mandatory install
GTA 5 will require two discs on Xbox 360, it has been revealed.

Developer Rockstar Games has said one disc will be used for a one-time mandatory install, while the other disc will be used to play both single and multiplayer.

Grand Theft Auto 5 will require two discs on Xbox 360.

On PlayStation 3 it will come on a single Blu-ray disc, but also requires a mandatory installation.

GTA 5 will require 8GB of space on both consoles.

"Grand Theft Auto V is the largest and most ambitious game we have yet created, and takes full advantage of every ounce of processing power available in the current generation of consoles," said the publisher on an official Q&A.

"In order to provide the best possible experience for such a massive and detailed world, the game will have installation requirements on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems."

Grand Theft Auto 5 was recently said to break the UK sales record, with over three million copies allocated for launch.

It has been predicted to sell 14 million copies when it is released, generating more than $700 million (£452 million) worldwide.

The game will launch on PS3 with a special console bundle and headset, while a number of special editions and pre-order bonuses have been announced by retailers.

Grand Theft Auto 5 will be available from September 17 worldwide.

'Grand Theft Auto 5' official gameplay video debuting tomorrow
Grand Theft Auto 5's first official gameplay video will debut tomorrow (July 9), Rockstar has announced.

The gameplay video will be shown live on the Rockstar website and the official GTA V website at 3pm UK time (10am ET / 7am PT).
Previous trailers have introduced the game's central characters, but haven't featured gameplay footage.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was announced in October 2011. It will take place in the fictional city of Los Santos, loosely based on present-day Southern California.

Each character will have a special ability, enabling them to slow down time during shootouts and driving sections, or take and receive more damage.

The game also sees the return of property acquisition and an upgradeable skill system, while the entire map will be accessible from the beginning.

Grand Theft Auto 5 debuts on Xbox 360 and PS3 from September 17.

Publisher Take-Two is hoping to break UK sales records with a huge shipment launch.
