...Why are people so obsessed with really large flat HDTV's these days? "Ooh, the neighbor's got a 42", I surely gotta go for 48" now". I mean the films are obviously getting shittier every year so how come people want to watch even worse movies on a bigger screen?

I think it's gay.

This is part of the Jones' Law "Everyone has to keep up with the Joneses." Means that if your neighbor gets a bigger <Insert noun>, you got to get a bigger one too.

Well, a LED tv doesn't cost as much as an LCD actually. We're getting a LED tv from Philips once a good one is out.

I'm getting a TV later this week but it's not going to be some big-ass thing. Will probably be 24" or something.

Lol, there actually are that small LCDs ?

Here its kinda impossible to buy those sizes lol.. CRT monitors dont get sold anymore, and the usual flatscreens start at like 30".

But the size doesnt really matter.. its just  a question how quick you can get used to it ;)
