Here its kinda impossible to buy those sizes lol.. CRT monitors dont get sold anymore, and the usual flatscreens start at like 30".

But the size doesnt really matter.. its just  a question how quick you can get used to it

It's also annoying with computer monitors, the way they're so thin. I still got a good quality fat monitor (I'm using it now) and it's much better than the new ones. With the new ones they're easy to break. Get mad and you gotta find another £200. With these get mad and they're in good shape, and if they break, probably cost you like £30.

Same with TV, I got a fat TV (in my room and down stairs), decent sizes too.

This is part of the Jones' Law "Everyone has to keep up with the Joneses." Means that if your neighbor gets a bigger <Insert noun>, you got to get a bigger one too.

yea pretty much, you don't want to get out done by your neighbor so you pretty much just get at war with them. There's a few commercials like that with Christmas lights, there's even a movie like that called "Deck the Halls". Its all just about competition. The world has become so obsessed with material things all we know how to do is make ourselves look better by buying the most expensive things we see(well not all but you get my point)
