the score is utter bollocks but the better team won (i guess we thought last years result will repeat itself [3-0 for fulham then]).

if i remember correctly the goal attempts in 1st half were 2-10 and in total 16-15 or smthg, so this pretty much gives an impression how the game was... (1st half 3 easy goals for manu, 2nd half fulham dominated all 45 minutes but were unlucky to score)

I think so. Kicking him while he's down isn't self defense and wasn't necessary. So while I don't blame him for doing it, the red card was deserved.
