I just looked at the link estroe posted in my topic. Can't believe I didn't see this topic!

12 say yes, 6 say no, so there's double for yes than there is for no. And about the 'there aren't any football topics', that's because there's no board for it. The offtopic section would be overloaded if people kept posting topics. And there weren't that many topics on gaming either, just the odd 'favourite game' and then came the CoD talks and that L4D and then a whole category got added and look where that lead.

Football like I said will always lead to flame, but that's because of bitter fans disagreeing with something the ref did in the game and someone supporting the opposing team thinks he's wrong and then an arguement emerges. But that can be avoided.

And like I said, if not a football / sport section, create that TV section and add a sub-board for football / sport. Or perhaps a new category for TV / Entertainment? Then give sport a seperate board and again sub-board for football.

There's only a few topics a year because there's only really a few things to talk about. The Champions League starting, a person's country's main league starting, the World Cup, European Cup, etc. If a board is created for it, people could post about different things.

You have added a poll to decide whether we should add this board or not. 100% more voted yes than no and yet you still continue to argue a point on this matter?

Here's a suggestion, listen to a fellow management member:

There's no point in arguing anymore. People want the board and your obviously not going to add it because you most likely don't like the sport and don't wish to see others discussing it. I even offered to moderate it at one point personally, so flaming wouldn't be an issue.

I think 12 people wanting a board isn't really much. The rest said either no or don't seem to care.

Also see my post in the other topic.

Just my personal opinion though, nothing to do with being in the management ;)

Make that 13 people. Yeah it isn't much, but there aren't much for the no either, and those that didn't vote probably don't care for sport and won't take part in it to flame (or they might but not as soon as the 13 people that say yes).

I didn't make that big post just so you could do what you did with Jay at least 6 times so far 'no, leads to flame'. Every topic eventually will lead to flame at some point, then all that happens is the flamers get sorted, which is the job of an Admin.

Read my post about the game section, not just quote the arguement part!
