So long as you refresh the page within the highlighted amount of time (which, of course, varies from forum to forum), the time is logged.

I idle alot _O- I just chill on forums, and leave the tabv open whilst I'm doing other shit, then when I need to take a break from doing work on other shit I will come back to the tab and check out all the flame I have to respond to, noobs crying, random topics etc.  :>
