I have to admit that i like  Nvidia more than AMD in the graphics card, just because you have better tools for nvidia (like nHancer to enable SLI in non SLI games, special Anti Aliasing features etc and NiBiTor to edit videocard bios, the possibility to overclock and change cooler without losing the warranty (EVGA cards))..

Thats why i like nvidia more than amd in the graphics part.

In the CPU part i dont give a shit if its Intel or AMD, i just buy the best for my money.

well you can say intel/nvidia is the best, and you can say its not the best.

It depends on what you buy.

Ofcourse, an Intel Core i7  965XE in combination with a nvidia GTX 295 SLI is the best you can get, but look at the cost:  the CPU = 1000$, the card 360$*2 due to SLI, makes 1720$ just for graphics and cpu.

imo Intel is clear superior in the GPU part, while nvidia has the better cards in the graphics part, but they sell it more expensive than AMD does.

AMD has the best performance for your money, but nvidia has more functions and extras (like the possibility of bios-editing, SLI enabling in non-SLI games, CUDA, etc etc), but you pay for that.

Oh and all linux users are kinda forced to buy nvidia, since AMD has no linux drivers, just unstable 3rd party shit by hobby modders.

Thats why i like Nvidia more than AMD, and due to that i have no problem with paying ~20$ more for the same performance.

You have right hitman, for now, for one week ago. Nividia make the best performance graphic card "295gtx"

But dont forget who did make the best performance graphic cards since august.

ATI with hd4870x2 / hd4850x2.

Before that nvidia was best with 9800gx2, before that ati with 3870x2, before that nvidia with 8800ultra, i don't remember before ultra, was there a best performing card between 8800gtx / ultra and ati 9800pro?

My point is..
Sometimes nvidia makes the best prodution card, everyone buys nividia and doesn't care if ati is better buy in lower price class.
Sometimes it's opposite.
People just care about who makes the BEST card.

AMD had the performance crown in many years before intel. With athlon / athlon64 etc.
Untill intel make there core2 series.

I don't think we'll see amd will take back the crown. Intel is to big and have to much money.

Well, maybe if bulldozer if so good they tell us it is.. But its a couple of years away.

Amd may build very good cpu witch cost much less then a intel with same performens.. People will not care anyway.. Just buy intel cuz intels best cpu is better then amds..
