Does anyone else get the feeling...

Everyone knows the consequences of what we're doing to the world, but we're all too stupid and lazy to do anything about it.

Worst comes to worst, blame America. Everyone else does and everything works out fine.

Life is temporary anyway, so does it really matter all that much?

But seriously, it's not like pollution isn't being handled, there are a lot of rules about it in the European Union. Also, keep in mind that there is no solid scientific proof that CO2 is actually causing climate changes; differences in sun activity is more likely to be causing it.
I will admit that hunger is a bit of a problem, even more so now crops are being used to make eco-friendly fuel. Which is a stupid idea, really. Why burn fuels if we could also drive electric cars with a much higher efficiency?

Furthermore, try to look at the bright side of life; Is HIV a problem? Yes. Is HIV still a problem if we consider the amount of people on this planet? No, not really. Besides, you don't have to worry about HIV at all if you keep your pants on. And diseases (like HIV, or the plague for that matter) is nature's way of taking care of problems. Darwin described it as "survival of the fittest", if I'm not mistaken...

25 years you say? And then what? Will the big bulb in the sky burn out, and will we (literally) return to the dark ages (cold too, with that bulb gone)?
Nah, I think these problems will be solved, but probably not before we run out of oil. Until then, scientists will have to figure out how we actually can power everything in a environmental-friendly way.

I'm sorry for my poor grammar right now, it was a long day at work :+

That's a pretty lame line whether you want to become a mod or not.

I agree with Bakura though, the human race will just adapt to whatever.
HIV certainly won't fuck us over, the only problems we have to watch out for would be the whole pollution=bigger hole in ozone layer = more global warming, rising sea levels and that jazz.
So long as we have enough water to drink and enough air to breathe we'll last a lot longer than 25 years, even if it means we're living differently.
