No, your missing the point. Say two RP'ers were talking in another language, all of a sudden ones muted, without any possibility of telling the other player. So the player who isn't muted leaves.


Im not saying we should provide a type of chat for those who are muted like ohaii muted too? samee lulz!1, just that players should be informed when one cannot reply.

But it will work towards that players advantage. They should simply follow the rules if they don't want to get muted. The whole point of getting muted is so that you cannot respond to people when they talk to you. If we inform people when they attempt to contact muted players, it will just eliminate the point of the system.

We don't need to keep informing them, just say once when a player is muted.

In jail, for instance, they aren't allowed to reply in mainchat and (afaik) not PM people, but there is still a message for that saying they are jailed.

But getting jailed is different. The point of a jail isn't to restrict their chat, it's to stop them from playing for a while because they have broken the rules. People can pm, use regular chat, gang chat, and call in jail. The only reason they can't read normal chat is because the way LVP's chat system works with virtual worlds.

mkay, I see the point your making Jay. But I just know how annoying it is to continually PM someone then 5 minutes later be told they are muted.

Which is the exact point of getting muted. I know, I have been muted many times before, and if people where told that I was muted, it work work much to my advantage. Think about it, if your muted, and somebody is talking to you, it annoys you the fact they don't know you are muted and you think, that they think, that you would be ignoring them.
