I agree with that. But you gotta have at least some skills for it. My dad has an old Minolta with several lenses. I wanna try it some time if I can make nice pics with it.

The problem nowadays is that i have a case full of Minolta x700 (2x) and lenses and filters and such, but i dont have the patience anymore to wait for the developing of the film........or even digitallize it
I bought a Sony DC10 so i can install things myself and my wife can snap automatic (+ autoflash) pics of the kids, so both a bit happy. Had a lot of fun with the x700 during artacademie a long time ago..... :w

I get your point, but nowadays alot of people just shoot 10 pics of the same topic and selecting the nice ones afterwards and you end up with 100+ pics 90% rubbish, 10% pretty; while I feel with analog photography you catch the moment...only one pic, spontaneous, if you make a mistake...well too bad but it has its charms. Btw the place where I go it only takes 1h to get your photo's on proofing (lot cheaper than fulll version) + you dont lose them when ur computer crashes :p

btw...if you buy a reasonable priced camera (300-500€) its only gonna last for 3 years before its outdated...or they won't make the battery anymore or it will break down etc..., i prefer my 30 year old camera that still works...they are up on ebay for like 10€ and work like a charm :)

But still i got Sony H-3 myself too, but i'm not 100% happy with it... I mean it's decent but the pics seem too normal to me.

You should try it, I got two Olympus analog camera's (OM 2 + OM20) with 2 different zuiko lenses, it's not that hard to work with it, you can set the shutter time manually or auto...diaphragm manual, focus manual, ive never had a bad pic with it actually. I'll post some later on :)

Im a noob when it comes to cameras, but is there a camera that takes a very high quality pic and you blur the surroundings, sort of like the pic Peter took, the one with the blue flower and bee?

You mean depth of field?

Just open up the iris/aperture to put less in focus, or macro.

Yes, I bumped the topic. Deal with it.

To wannabe haters: While I find it difficult to bump a topic when I honestly cannot compete with the pictures before my own, I don't try to impress anyone. Competition in most situations (especially the Internet) is lame. Like 'em or hate 'em, I feel like posting. And you should too—after all, photography is about having fun with the hope of catching a beautiful moment. Sometimes that happens, sometimes not. But who cares, so long as you have fun you haven't the need to impress anyone. ... I felt like ranting, fuck off. :D

Anyway...

These are all older photographs; I've not been able to take any newer ones (with my newer camera) as of late...
