Agreed, sounds really nice. Having a chance to evade death after the explosion of somehow managing to jump out in a parachute or whatever is also cool, and might actually make it a popular thing to do :D

Turning area 51 into something important such as an admin area could also improve this idea. would mean people might find it interesting to see what´s there.

What about entering on-foot?

Would be annoying getting blown to smithereens by them, however at the same time we don't want people to get close to the SAM-launchers, so it's hard to blow them up.

In SP, if you walk, you don't get shot, only in the air.. And, there's a property at one of the SAM's :P

If you enter it with a jetpack you do get shot in the face :P

I like the idea, a red turfthingy could highlight the sight, and flash if somebody enters

Well maybe destroying it could be scripted -- planting some kind of C4 you have to get from a specific place? :Y)
