COM Surrogate error
#1
Heya!

I'm getting this 'COM Surrogate has stopped working' error everytime I access a folder where there are encoded XviD files. I found out this issue is caused by the XviD codec (which I reinstalled twice) while trying to generate thumbnails in explorer, but not even a working fix. Pretty weird, since yesterday everything worked fine. I ran the system restore utility, and it had no effect on the problem.

I've got Windows 7 64-bit, and I never installed Nero if someone wonders, seen the results on google.

Anyone had this error before, or know a fix for it? Thanks in advance!

I've removed the XviD codec, and seems the problem is now fixed. Still, pretty weird  :X
