Some useful resources for you to use whilst making your graphics!
I was browsing the web, and came across quite a few nice
websites. Basically, I thought I might share some of
them with you so we can all improve our skills ;)
I have also posted a few tutorials.

WEBSITES

Obsidian Dawn
Obsidian Dawn is a digital design website, containing plenty of
Photoshop/GIMP brushes, custom shapes, PNG's and Tutorials.
This guy has some amazing skills!

SigTutorials
Any signature makers dream; SigTutorials is the best place to learn
how to make, well, signatures. Basic for beginners and complicated
for the pro's. This site has it all... including a nice community and
lots of free resources!

Photoshop Roadmap
Perfect website for free tutorials; from 'waving flag' to 'draw your
own car', this site has some of the best. It also contains a large variety
of free brushes for download.

DeviantART
DeviantART, one of the biggest art communities on the net, has
a massive variety of.. well, anything arty! Tutorials, brushes, custom shapes,
plugins, fonts, .PSD's, patterns, styles... you name it, deviantART has it!

Dezinerfolio
Dezinerfolio is a blog/freebie site with some highly skilled
contributers. Check the 'freebies' section for some amazing free stuff
such as Icons, PSD's, layer styles, gradients and more!

YouTube
Well, okay. Maybe you didn't need me to say this one, but its true:
YouTube is very good for tutorials. Whatever you need, just search
and it is highly likely that you will find what you're looking for!

Brusheezy
Brusheezy is debatably your best resource for photoshop (CS+) brushes!
Just browse the different categories and see if anything takes your fancy!

Marcofolio(/photoshop/resources)
Marcofolio I found not 20 minutes ago, but even in that time I've
found that it's a great site for any photoshopper. I would
strongly advise checking it out.

Planet Renders
Without question, the best place (apart from maybe a few
Render Packs avaliable at SigTutorials) for free image renders.
It has almost everything you could want.

TIPS
See how the whole of the render is shown on the 'good' picture and the heads are cut off in the 'bad' picture?
This is very important to make your signature look good.

The use of colours is very important to make your signature look good. Don't use colours
that don't go with your render, or the whole thing could end up a disaster.
Example:

Text placement is if not the most important thing in your signature. There
are a few guidlines:
•Never, EVER, put your text on top of your render.
•Usually, fonts such as Arial or Raavi look best.
•Colour your text using colours from your signature.
•A subtext usually makes your signature look better.
To sum it all up:
