Let me ask .. if a quad core processor is really powerful ... wtf do we need 48, 64, 1000 cores for!?

For parallel computing? Theres lots of  100+ core processors out there.

They aren't made for gaming or such a thing, programmers can hardly get their games coded for multi-CPUs.

Theres about 10 games that actually improve a lot by a quadcore, and we won't need more cores for games for the next 5 years, i bet (there will prolly be 1-10 exceptions)
