Quote:How to Prevent Poodle Nipping
Poodles are a breed that can be known for their nipping and biting. The biggest problem is that many poodle owners allow this can of behavior to happen, especially when they are little puppies. Many dog owners don't realize that their adorable cute little puppy that you just want to hug and squeeze all day needs proper training to prevent future problems.
The Real Truth Behind Poodle Biting
Poodles can be known for their nipping and biting nature. They were originally bred as herding animals and retrieving game in marshes for their owners. They would nipped the ankles of other animals as their day job back in the day.
How to Stop Puppy Poodle Biting
The best time to begin is when your poodle is a puppy. Socialize!Socialize! Socialize! I cannot emphasize enough on the importance of socializing your puppy. When puppies are with their litter, the are then introduced to bite inhibition. They learn this when their siblings stop all play when they bite themselves or vice versa when their sibling bites them. They also learn it when they nip too hard when they are nursing on their mother, the mother will get up and walk away when nipped too hard. Puppies learn that all the fun will stop if they bite too hard.
This is why it's so important to not take your puppy away from the litter until 8 weeks old. Even after 8 weeks old should your puppy socialize with other humans and animals.By socialization and reinforcing bite inhibition, your dog will learn at an early age the connection between biting and undesirable results.
Avoid scolding or using hard punishment on your young poodle. Harsh discipline like hitting or yelling can contribute to aggressive behavior.
If you have a poodle biting problem with a puppy, don’t allow it. Provide a toy whenever the puppy bites and make soft whimpering sounds to show the puppy that the bite hurt you. This is how other puppies would show the same behaviour.
Another way to stop your puppy from biting is that when your dog nips or mouths your, fake a sound of pain and instantly stop all play. This will further reinforce bite inhibition.
How to Stop Older Poodles Biting
With older dogs who bite, you need to make sure you hold alpha status position in the household. Make sure your dog understands that you are the alpha leader. I don't mean getting into a wrestling fight with your dog but make sure your dog learn proper obedience training as well. This will help establish alpha status.

There's a site (forgot the name) that's dedicated to fucking with these scammers, the Nigerian ones in particular. You'd be surprised how much personal information they are willing to give up and how much trouble they will go to through if they suspect you are actually willing to give them money... Some of them are hilarious. I will try to find a link when i get home  ;)

Scary stuff. I don't know people involved in scams like this can live happily (do they!?). Most of us get up each day, head out for a hard day at work and return home for some rest and relaxation. And then there's the scammers. How on earth do they sleep at night, knowing they're pretty much just ruining peoples lives? I really don't know.

Once in a blue moon, "Microsoft" phone me up informing me that there's a problem with my computer and that they need urgent access. In the past I've screwed with the operator on the other end requesting more information, knowing full well what their game is. They just read from a script and it renders them speechless.

Sadly people do sometimes fall for such scams :(

haha yeah,

I've received one or two of those 'Microsoft' phone calls as well. Decided to fuck with him and told him I only own apple products, that shut him up :')

Problem is these assholes also bother my 84 year old grandma who doesn't speak any English whatsoever, so they can just all fuck off...

The ones that are quite popular right now are emails from my (or any other) bank, telling me they updated their website security or whatever and need me to log in in order to unfreeze my account. Some of these mails even have the nerve to say something among the lines of 'There have been various fake emails pretending to be [name of bank]. We urge you not to reply to these mails for they are spam, etc. etc. In order to stop these scams we have instated a new security protocol, click here to enter your credentials'

Others I receive weekly are mails coming from our 'government' proclaiming you've been caught for a traffic violation (usually: you were caught going 91km/h where you are permitted to go 80km/h. After corrections you were driving 6 km/h too fast, pls wire 60 or so euro to so and so. If you fail to pay your fine will be raised to 250 euro's, bla bla bla) Funny thing is we never actually receive legit traffic tickets per e-mail, only via regular mail

some on them are not that good, but others are worth the read

Will take a look at that link Matrix when I'm in need of a laugh, which will be in about 20 minutes. But some of these scammers probably this is the only way to make a living for them, I feel bad for those people, but ... idk. I think some people just don't care what people they hurt and those people suck.
