SPAM! - George - 09-27-2015 As annoying as spam can be, it does sometimes make for a laugh...some of these create some real WTF moments. I do like rewards though ![]() Re: SPAM! - Matrix_Smith - 09-28-2015 There's a site (forgot the name) that's dedicated to fucking with these scammers, the Nigerian ones in particular. You'd be surprised how much personal information they are willing to give up and how much trouble they will go to through if they suspect you are actually willing to give them money... Some of them are hilarious. I will try to find a link when i get home

Some of them are hilarious. I will try to find a link when i get home Scary stuff. I don't know people involved in scams like this can live happily (do they!?). Most of us get up each day, head out for a hard day at work and return home for some rest and relaxation. And then there's the scammers. How on earth do they sleep at night, knowing they're pretty much just ruining peoples lives? I really don't know. Once in a blue moon, "Microsoft" phone me up informing me that there's a problem with my computer and that they need urgent access. In the past I've screwed with the operator on the other end requesting more information, knowing full well what their game is. They just read from a script and it renders them speechless. Sadly people do sometimes fall for such scams
Re: SPAM! - Matrix_Smith - 09-29-2015 haha yeah, I've received one or two of those 'Microsoft' phone calls as well. Decided to fuck with him and told him I only own apple products, that shut him up ![]() Problem is these assholes also bother my 84 year old grandma who doesn't speak any English whatsoever, so they can just all fuck off... The ones that are quite popular right now are emails from my (or any other) bank, telling me they updated their website security or whatever and need me to log in in order to unfreeze my account. Some of these mails even have the nerve to say something among the lines of 'There have been various fake emails pretending to be [name of bank]. We urge you not to reply to these mails for they are spam, etc. etc. In order to stop these scams we have instated a new security protocol, click here to enter your credentials' Others I receive weekly are mails coming from our 'government' proclaiming you've been caught for a traffic violation (usually: you were caught going 91km/h where you are permitted to go 80km/h. After corrections you were driving 6 km/h too fast, pls wire 60 or so euro to so and so. If you fail to pay your fine will be raised to 250 euro's, bla bla bla) Funny thing is we never actually receive legit traffic tickets per e-mail, only via regular mail about the link: http://www.419eater.com/html/letters.htm some on them are not that good, but others are worth the read Re: SPAM! - Jerome - 09-29-2015 Will take a look at that link Matrix when I'm in need of a laugh, which will be in about 20 minutes. But some of these scammers probably this is the only way to make a living for them, I feel bad for those people, but ... idk. I think some people just don't care what people they hurt and those people suck. Re: SPAM! - George - 10-02-2015 Subject: Will you die from a heart attack? Quote:Heart attacks are the leading cause of death in America. If you could save a family member, or yourself, from having this fate, how much would that be worth to you? That's a pretty brutal email... |
