I don't usually get into religion cause people start giant debates over it who is right and who is wrong. Most people would consider me agnostic, I don't have a set religion. I believe that the earth was created by the "big bang" not by a "God". I have a two part belief view, a scientific view, and a "spiritual" view.
For the scientific view, I believe in reincarnation but not how most religions would view it (explained more in the next section). I believe that when an animal/human dies they will decompose, be absorbed into the soil, plants use the nutrients(or remains of the dead) in the soil, an animal/human will eat the plant and has a very slim chance that the same nutrients are used for the development of their offspring. If the nutrients are not used for the development of an offspring, then they are stored in the body of the animal or human until that one dies and the process repeats. Alternatively the nutrients could be defecated and then the process repeats. The resulting offspring would be considered the reincarnated "being".
For the "spiritual" view, as stated before I do believe in reincarnation however I do not believe that someone could remember past lives or any actions, thoughts, or memories associated with them, medically speaking, this is impossible due to the fact of how the brain works. I will not go into the complicated specifics of the brain's anatomy and physiology. If you know how the brain works, then you would understand what I am talking about, of how it would be impossible.
Anyway, back to the topic of the "spiritual" view. The spiritual view takes place after the death of a human while they are awaiting reincarnation. I believe that there is a heaven and a hell, however everyone will end up in heaven eventually. Those who are "sentenced" to hell are those who have committed explicit acts of violence, such as murder, rape, or torture. Hell is different for each "being". It is not a fiery underground place like some religions have made it out to be. Instead, it would be like a normal day-to-day life, but instead of going to bed, each day results in a fearful death. This will occur over and over, each day counts for each person they affected, not just the victim, but also all the mourning relatives and friends of the victim. Once all the "days" have been completed, the "being" will be released from the cycle and brought into "heaven". Again, heaven will be a day-to-day process, but unlike "hell" it will be filled with positive experiences, such as getting a promotion.
And that pretty much sums up my religious views so far. Like I stated before, I am not much of a religious person, I don't go around telling this story to everyone, come to think of it this is actually the first time that I have explained it to others. I tend to avoid religious discussions as much as possible, unless someone is genuinely interested in what I have to say. Most of the time I don't even think about it, I just go through life, and perhaps when I get to be old, I will put more thought into it.
