More of a semantic question IMO, if we're all meant to be "God's Children" or "Children of God" then yes, Adam would be one of God's children, but I think the Church means for us to be children of God in a more metaphorical sense. The whole bible's full to the brim of metaphors.

It's kind of retarded to discuss the truth of only two religions while there are many other religions that may be more 'true'. Also stepping away from the almighty god thingy and putting things more in a sociological perspective. You don't KNOW that God is a lie. The religion itself may (and likely is) false, but there is no evidence to suggest the existence of God himself, or Gods, are false.

God cannot be proven true nor false. That's why people BELIEVE in a God. Believeing in a God is fine, and yes many scientists believe there is a God.
But even though they believe in a God I dont think many scientists believe God created, lets say the, earth and its nature.

Nobody can prove that God exists no matter how hard they try. If God could be proven to be real this worldwide debate wouldn't be so huge.
A person does not believe 4+4 is 8, he knows it. It's proven.
A person does not know God exists, he believes it. It's not proven.
Read the word "believe" a few times and try to understand its meaning. Saying you know God is real, is ignorant.

And I don't think many scientists believe (or believed) in the Bible itself, or much of the Bible, but God himself, or Gods, and perhaps Jesus or Muhammad or some other religious figure.

Simply believing in something does not make you "retarded" and it doesn't make you any less of a person than those who don't believe.

Since when? Believing the Earth was created by a God is simply believing a God created the Earth. Unless you believe God created the Earth and put it in the centre of the universe, you don't believe Earth is the centre of the universe.

That may be the case for some, but not all. Believing in a God does not mean you can't handle something.



Please, stop acting like you know why people believe in something. You don't know them personally so you can't say they believe in God so they believe the Earth is the centre of the universe, or they believe because they're scared of something.

If you're going to generalise, at least do it properly.
