Pretty useless to add gang system to server that hardly gets more than 40 players.

This is how it works on this server:

- Average of 25 players , 50 percent are in same gang. Rest of players are either casual, undercover, cheater or newbies(who will only connect once and never come back). Those players wont form gang, so obviously there are no gang wars.

- People that are in "big" gangs don't shoot other people who are also in "big" gangs. Thats because most of the players in gangs are stats whores who only care about their stats and don't play this game for fun., so obviously there are no gang wars.

- There is no gang activity on this server. Those "big" gangs always end up camping at ship and waiting someone to pass so they can team on him. Who is going to take turfs when there are like 2 active clans on this server and they are alllied. They wont fight because they are saving their precious stats.

-As Darkfire said, this would be better if it was back then, when there were actually players and gangs on this server. Now its pretty much useless, when its always 5vs1 fight.

Hey both, no offence, but wake the fuck up. Its 2010, we dont have 100 players everyday but we could atleast try, right? Maybe clans will be actually interested to start playing again and so the player count could go up again. I sure do understand your point(s) but we cant do jack shit about it, be happy that the script team/Jay atleast tries.

3 problems i discovered :

1)there should be a list of the gangs who own turfs(are active)..and it should be somewhere where we all can see it (in game or on forum)

2) when a gang owns a turf we can't see the hole name...its like "the burger - [t"
the burger =turf's name
[t =the first 2 symbols from gang's name


3) /gangs
it shows the gangs only in a line so we can see the first 2-3...others are out of the screen.

You should make a poll regarding team/gang damage. Or... just implement it xD

Like I said you should make more use of menus. I say this some of the commands on the server are brought up on the chat, and its pretty useless because in 2 seconds you won't be able to see it because of people talking. Or it just blocks your chat and you may have been talking to someone.  The command could be like  /gangs and you get a menu with all the registered gangs on the server, from there you could do e.g /gang info id and see a brief description on a menu like this:
Gang Name:
Gang leader:
Gang website(?):
Amount of Members
Kills:
Deaths:
All time turfs taken:
Current turfs owned:

(just an example, could remove/add/change some)

There should be permanent gang houses that gangs could own or possibly be rewarded. Not giving a special property or unique spawn weapons for example, but maybe some weapon, health and armour pickups inside. As well as a buyable interior and possibly one or two gang spawncars.

This could be gained by either plain old buying it, or you could reward based on the gangs turfs? (Once a gang reaches 1000 turfs gained overall for example) Or there could be a set of challenging minigames the gang has to complete. These could be object based, such as a rock fall minigame where you have to run up a hill with 1hp and rocks fall down.

You could even go further and make a whole new section on the website to do with gangs, with their stats and ratios. Sort of like GTAT, but that may take it a step too far.

You should be able to setup CUSTOM ranks and CUSTOM permissions within the gang, so the leader can do everything. Then they could setup a rank called 'noob' who can only see the gang balance and talk in gang chat, nothing else. Whilst another rank 'member' could only deposit into the gangbank and can't withdraw. You could expand on this by making a 'gang rank skins'. The leader having a diff skin from the other members, although this would be optional.

Maybe you could branch this out onto properties aswell? If a person is in a gang and is online buying properties, they could do /gang buy, maybe then they could pay it out of all their money. Or it could be paid out of the gang bank, or EVERYONE in the gang pays a small price. Then the money made could be automatically given to the gang members or deposited into the gang bank.

Those or just some of the many ideas I have D:
