LIES! My rig is better and GTA IV is still a bit laggy.. :o
Unless u have i7 and ddr3, then its better :p gta IV wouldnt lag with that rig -.-

Nah but I got the E8600 3,3 GHz instead of the E8400 3,0 Ghz in your post and my vid card is much better 4870 X2 (2GB)..

If my little ass onboard ati 3200 graphics could play gta 4 with little lag, that 4830 will do much better, like Farepak said the HD 4830 is equal or tad bit more then the 9800GT'S

Thing is though IV is heavily CPU limited.

lol, you guys are planning this rig like GTA IV is the only game hes ever gonna run on it for the next 3 years :P

And i still say the combination of a E5300 and HD 4850 is better. I guarantee the first bottleneck for him in the future will be his HD 4830 :P

All of you guys play on high settings but to be honest I really don't care if im on very high or very low, makes no difference to me, game still plays...

I'm sure your well aware of the 4830,It can be oc'ed to meet the performance of the 4850/4870 if you just take a few minutes to tweak it!

Going with the 4830 you'd save $20-$30 bucks and can have the same performance as the 4850/4870

Ok, I agree with Farepack.

I don't care if it runs on very high, just along as it runs. But not like major f'n lag, something in the middle.
Which shall I get, http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=35796 or http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=37456

And I'll get http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=37981 in a couple of months.

So it's:
GFX Card ($137.50) http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=35796
PSU ($162.00) http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=30765
Mother ($115.00): http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=37779
RAM ($82.50): http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=25249
Case ($56.10): http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=35146

With the CPU, i want recommendations.
Here:
$177.00 - http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=36532
$207.00 - http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=36531
$248.00 - http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=33689
$249.00 - http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/prod...s_id=29360
Theres a Duo 2.8GHz there, Duo 2.93 GHz, Quad 2.33GHz, Duo 3.0GHz.

Total's:
Duo 2.8GHz /w others : $710.00
Duo 2.9GHz /w others : $740.00
Duo 3.0GHz /w others : $782.00
Quad 2.3GHz /w others:$781.00

What do you think?

These are proper questions, which I've asked and No one has answered.

[b]Does this DVD Drive work in the case i've selected?:

http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/1241/s7300239.jpg
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/1026/s7300240s.jpg

Do i need a proper HDD or can I use a portable one?.

Will these combinations be good to run IV low GFX?
